“LEGAL PROTECTION FOR LIFE SCIENCES: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY” is a collective work of an interdisciplinary narrative on biotechnology research and its remarkable results. Researchers in the field of intellectual property, under the leadership of Mary Charlene C. Plaza de Avila and Patricia Del Nero Aurelia have contributed to the work. It seeks to ultimately be a reference for those who are focused on this field of law.

The senior partner Paulo Parente Marques Mendes and the associate lawyer Felipe Barros Oquendo, of the firm Di Blasi, Parente & Associates Lawyers, contributed to the work with the chapter “Brands of Biotechnological Products: Some Notes.”
